Incoming Transmittal

1. “Incoming Transmittals” Form

This form allows you to register the Incoming Transmittals to your project. Start registering a new Incoming Transmittal by pressing the New Record button at the bottom of the form, and type in the Incoming Transmittal No and the supplementary information fields.

The table below provides a detailed description of the fields in form “Incoming Transmittals”:

Document Revision Files

You can associate files that were received in the Incoming Transmittal with document revisions. The documents are registered to incoming transmittal by uploading files and choosing Document ID and Revision to associate the file to in the dialog before upload.

If the document that was received is not already registered in Pims, you can create a new document directly in the Incoming Transmittal form by selecting “Create New Document in This Transmittal…” and following the wizard. The new document will be created with default Revision defined in setup. Alternatively, you can open the “Documents” form separately and create the document directly there.

Attachments tab

The electronic files associated with the selected transmittal will be listed here. This is not associated with document’s files.

Emails tab

If the transmittal was received on an email – the email file can be stored here.

Acknowledgement tab

If there was an acknowledgement sent to the originator company, this file can be stored here.

2. Incoming Transmittals in “Documents” form

You can also start registering a new Incoming Transmittal directly from the “Documents” Form. Open Documents form and choose External Document. Under “Revisions” tab Revision Files part navigate to Inc Transmittal No field and press “+” button next to the lookup arrow.

Register Incoming Transmittal dialog will appear. Fill in the fields and click Save to finish registering new Incoming Transmittal.

If you type a new Incoming transmittal number in Inc. Transmittal. No field and press the ENTER key, the “Register Incoming Transmittal” form will also appear.
