Navigating in Pims R3

Shortcuts

From the Shortcuts bar you are able to access the most common forms and reports. This menu is located in the left pane of the R3 Client and can be switched to auto-hide mode by clicking on the pin button.

The Shortcuts bar enables you to create a listing of your most commonly used items (forms and reports). It can be manually or automatically populated based on your recent usage.

To modify your Shortcuts Bar, right-click within a Group, and a context-menu will appear.

If you wish to re-populate your Shortcuts Bar based on your most recent usage, select the Recreate Favorites option. This will automatically overwrite your existing options, and replace them with the forms and reports you have used the most the last three months.

If you wish to manually edit your Shortcuts Bar, right-click on any Group, and select from any of the available options.

Add Group
Adds another top-level Group, for example “Document Management”.
Remove Group
This option is used to remove an existing group, and is only available if you right-click on an existing group.
Rename Group
This option is used to rename an existing group, and is only available if you right-click on an existing group.
Move Up
This option is used to move a group further up in the Favorites bar, and is only available if you right-click on an existing group.
Move Down
This option is used to move a group further down in the Favorites bar, and is only available if you right-click on an existing group.
Add Shortcut
This option opens a dialog to add a new item into the group from the objects you have access to.

By right-clicking on the the item a following context-menu will appear:

The following new option is available:

Remove Item
This option is used to remove a form or a report from a group, and is only available if you right click on an existing item.

Also it is available to add a new item into your Favorites Bar from Open dialog, by clicking on the Open button, finding the form or report you wish to add and right-clicking on it.

This brings up a menu option where you can choose which Group you wish to add this item to.

Open Form / Report

Using the Open button, you are able to access all available forms and reports. This button is located in the toolbar (see section “Toolbar”).

Clicking the Open button opens a menu window grouped into Modules and Groups. Search or drill down in the tree view menu structure to locate the object you want to open.
